In Mumbai , during June and July, in the rainy season, it has been a very arduous task to approach so many colleges individually and meet the deadlines in a narrow timezone after the SSC results. It is felt that IT can be used to ease the pressure on the newly passed matriculates seeking to begin an academic career. The plight of students seeking admissions is truly heartrending. They need to send brother, sister, cousin, mother, father, neighbour etc each to separate row for getting the form, and then for submitting the same . Sometimes touts have a field day. Travelling in time means spending on rikshaw , taxi and other means. Missing Xerox, stolen money, drenched papers , inability to reach all the colleges in the selected list are common stories.Is it possible to ameliorate this plight? This was the motivation.
